I don't know how or why they are doing it but a remake was announced today of the 1992 Abel Ferrara picture Bad Lieutenant. And if a remake is not bad enough, this one will star ... Nick Cage. BLERG! Harvey Kietel played the original Bad Lieutenant and now we get flippin’ GHOST RIDER! Keitel walked around nude, did blow, and assaulted hookers. Ya think the family friendly Cage is gonna risk his National Treasure 3: The Further Rape of US History to get buck naked? The only thing he will assault is my senses and the only thing that is gonna blow is his performance.

Werner Herzog (Rescue Dawn) is set to direct but even that cannot take away from the lameness that is The Cage.
